One day.  All day.  What a day!

Saturday, October 27 -- 7 A.M. - 11 P.M.

Join iCIMS*, our awesome sponsors, and hundreds of members of the local STEM community at Bell Works - the original home of technology innovation in New Jersey. We're sharing one very full day of app development, personal and professional skill building, networking and seasonal fun.

  • Take on an app challenge as an individual or as part of a team
  • Sit in on a workshop geared towards first time developers
  • Learn how to “hack” a TED talk
  • Explore chatbot technology
  • Get interviewing tips that help you land your first, or next, tech job

As part of the Major League Hacking (MLH) Hacktober schedule, we'll encourage you to work on autumn- or Halloween-themed apps as well as support your focus on projects that you define. And if you come in costume – bonus points, with the possibility of even more prizes.

*Who is iCIMS? We’re the anchor tenant at Bell Works and one of the biggest providers of cloud-based software and services that help companies source, recruit and engage top talent throughout their hiring processes. And we are looking forward to building great projects with you on October 27!

Students: Skill up on cloud computing and make the most of your iCIMS Halloween Hackathon experience by signing up for AWS Educate before you arrive! AWS Educate is Amazon’s global program to provide students and educators with the resources needed to accelerate cloud learning. We want to make sure you know about all the resources available to you, at no cost, as part of your AWS Educate membership, including access to cloud content, the ability to earn digital credentials, or search for cloud jobs and internships on the AWS Educate Job Board. When you register, you’ll receive $30-100 in AWS Promotional Credits to use in the AWS Console. When applying, please be sure to use the .edu email address issued to you by your school. If you do not have a .edu email address, additional verification may be required. The application review process can take up to 48 hours, so make sure you register ahead of time.
